We are becoming settled in the classroom. The K's are eagerly working from their work plan. We choose several works from different areas of the classroom and the K's choose which work they want to work with first. We call this their "challenging work". The child chooses a challenging work from their work plan and after they complete the work, they are able to choose their "choice work". The choice work can be anything that the child wants to do. Snack, art, etc. The child in the K program is not given a schedule to complete their work plan. In the EL I and EL II classrooms there is an expectation of when the work plan will be completed. It can be a one week or a two week work plan.
